1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Title: Information Governance Analyst Job Description We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Principal Information and Data Governance Officer to lead the secure, compliant, and effective management of information. This role involves navigating and supporting change in a rapidly evolving technological environment, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and the Public Records (Scotland) Act. You will play a key role in supporting the implementation of Microsoft 365, ensuring robust information governance controls and practices. Responsibilities Lead the secure and compliant management of information across the organisation. Support the implementation of Microsoft 365, ensuring robust governance controls. Regularly review and update policies related to information governance. Manage the information governance risk register. Ensure alignment across corporate and education environments. Collaborate closely with the IG/Cyber team, Change and Release Analysts, and the wider Digital Services team. Work with internal teams and external partners to drive key workstreams. Coordinate with the Data Protection Officer and Records Management Officer. Essential Skills Broad knowledge of information governance including security and regulatory matters. Experience with UK GDPR and the Public Records (Scotland) Act. Technical expertise combined with strong communication and leadership skills. Experience in data quality, data analysis, data governance, SQL, and data validation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Educated to degree level in a cyber-security/information governance related discipline or a minimum of 5 years practical experience. Experience with Microsoft Purview is advantageous. Work Environment The role involves collaboration with a diverse team including IG/Cyber team members, Change and Release Analysts, and the wider Digital Services team.
