We are looking for a driven and seasoned scientist to join our Translational Sciences division as a Senior or Principal Scientist. This individual will help advance our pipeline of biologic therapies—including cytokines, monoclonal antibodies, and antibody-drug conjugates—through the critical transition from preclinical research to clinical development. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing biomarker and mechanism of action (MOA) studies, supporting early clinical efforts, and driving pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) strategy. The goal is to ensure safe, effective, and scientifically sound development of investigational therapies as they progress into human trials. You’ll also work on extending the utility of our approved treatment for myeloproliferative neoplasms, exploring new indications, combination therapies, and improved biomarker-driven approaches for patient selection and dose refinement. The role requires strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners and offers an opportunity to mentor junior scientists while influencing broader R&D strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translational Research Leadership: Spearhead planning and execution of biomarker discovery and MOA studies using disease-relevant models and patient-derived tissues. Align study design with broader development and regulatory goals.
  • Clinical Application Support: Partner with clinical teams to explore additional indications for our marketed product. Contribute to in-house and investigator-led trials to broaden therapeutic use.
  • Data Insight Generation: Oversee analysis and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo data, including PK/PD relationships and exposure-response dynamics. Translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strategic Input: Inform clinical pharmacology planning across all phases of development. Support rationale for dose selection, formulation advancement, and target validation.
  • Regulatory Support: Contribute to documentation and responses related to INDs, NDAs, and global regulatory submissions. Provide scientific rationale for trial designs and biomarker strategy.
  • Scientific Influence: Act as a thought leader in translational sciences, supporting internal teams and external collaborators. Share expertise through mentorship, internal presentations, and conference participation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data science, bioinformatics, immunology, regulatory, and clinical development teams to ensure biomarker strategies are embedded in development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in immunology, oncology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related biomedical field.
  • A minimum of 3 years (Senior Scientist) or 8 years (Principal Scientist) in biotech/pharma R&D, with a demonstrated record of scientific and strategic contributions.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and interpreting translational studies using animal models and primary human cells or tissues.
  • Background in immuno-oncology, inflammation, or related disease areas is preferred.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial planning and execution, including experience in either sponsor-led or investigator-initiated trials.
  • Strong data analysis skills; experience with tools like NONMEM, Phoenix WinNonlin, or R is a plus.
  • Experience working collaboratively with academic researchers or external CROs.
  • Clear and effective scientific communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, mentor colleagues, and manage interdisciplinary projects.
