What You Will Do
The Business Systems Technology and Strategy team in the Advanced Positioning Sector (APS) is looking for a Salesforce Technical Product Owner. This team focuses on the overarching theme of 'Connect and Scale' our systems and solutions to prepare and enable APS and Trimble to successfully execute Trimble's vision to connect the physical and digital world. As the Salesforce Technical Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind the evolution and optimization of one of Trimble's most robust Salesforce instances, supporting over 500 licensed users. As the product owner for this Salesforce environment, you will act as a liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams, ensuring that the Salesforce platform aligns with our strategic business goals and delivers exceptional value to our users and partners. Your expertise will guide sprint planning, prioritization, development and testing activities with our technical teams. In this role, you will be the primary subject matter expert for this environment and its points of integration. You will champion continuous improvement, scalability, and agility within a CI/CD framework, fostering a culture of innovation. The ideal candidate will also bring excitement to stakeholders, delivering projects that impact the bottom line revenue for TAP and Global Services. This role includes overseeing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce-related inquiries and requests alongside Business Analysts and Software Developers on our technical team.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria with our Business Analysts.
- Oversee prioritization of the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Oversee thorough requirements gathering and analysis, including process mapping and documentation, with our technical team.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Foster a collaborative and productive working environment for the technical team.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging Salesforce technologies.
- Continuously refine and uphold our data governance, integrity, security, and compliance standards within the Salesforce environment and its integrations.
- Ownership of performance and event monitoring activities, utilizing reporting and debugging tools to identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize system efficiency.
- Ensure that the Salesforce environment is compliant with all applicable regulations, updates, and Trimble's security policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Salesforce technical experience in a Developer, Architect, or Advanced Administrator capacity.
- Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and technologies (REST, SOAP, middleware).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with process mapping, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Salesforce technical experience in a Senior Developer or Architect capacity.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Hold at least 1+ Salesforce Architect or Developer Certification (Platform Developer II, Data Architect, Integration Architect, System Architect, Application Architect, Technical Architect).
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing an Agile or DevOps-driven development/engineering team.
- Experience with Git-based source code repositories.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Experience with Salesforce security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Experience working in a SAAS environment is a plus.

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
