Potensis is pleased to partner with a trusted and respected Residential Developer who has developed an enviable reputation for consistently delivering high end, complex and design led projects throughout the South East for over 20 years. Due to expansion, they are looking to appoint a Construction Director who will have full responsibility for the build team and ensure that projects are delivered safely, to high quality and on time.
The Construction Director will report into the Managing Director and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage directly employed build teams and main contractors to ensure the successful delivery of complex, high profile projects within time and budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Produce build programmes and monitor the performance of project teams to ensure that the progress of the developments meets key dates.
- Monitor and continually review developments to ensure that at all stages of construction, the highest standards are achieved.
- Ensure that all aspects of Health & Safety legislation and company policy are met and safe working practices are actively encouraged.
- Assist in the selection and appointment of sub-contractors as required.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that they are fully informed of site issues and progress.
- Provide input into the acquisition and development of new projects with regard to build times, methodology, buildability and environmental and safety issues.
- Recruit appropriate team members, provide management and support and arrange suitable training in order to develop the construction team.
- Work effectively as part of the senior management team to positively influence the progression and growth of the organisation.
The role would suit an existing Commercial Director who has gained experience within a main residential developer who has a consistent record of delivery.
