Supplemental Health Care is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Supplemental Health Care is working with a Federal Government Hospital in Falmouth, Massachusetts to hire Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurses. For more than 40 years, we’ve specialized in helping nurses find the assignments that best fit their current needs and long-term career goals.

Contract Details:

  • $2,052 – $2,288 per week*
  • 13-week contract with possibility of extension
  • NOC shift available

Responsibilities include:

  • Consult and coordinate with facility health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Maintain qualifications and skills of a Medical Surgical Telemetry RN as confirmed by completion of the Skills Checklist and verified by the contracting clinical manager.
  • Successfully complete the unit-specific orientation and competency skills checklist within the first 3 shifts.
  • Maintain competency verification programs in accordance with unit, WRNMMC, and TJC guidelines.
  • Knowledge of telemetry system/ECG monitoring and ability to place ECG electrodes, observe, gather, initiate, compile, and record telemetry data to interpret EKG rhythm.
  • Communicate cardiac rhythm changes and information on monitored patients with physician and interdisciplinary team.
  • Obtain, analyze, and post rhythm strips on admission in patient records per unit protocol or as ordered by physician.
  • Successfully interpret rhythm strips to include rate (atrial and ventricular), rhythm, PR interval, QRS interval, QT interval, ectopic beats, and ST segment changes and report abnormalities to provider.

Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts Nursing License
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • 2 years of recent relevant nursing experience
  • Must be a US citizen
  • ACLS preferred
