A leading energy brand is looking for an M&A Manager to join their high-profile Group M&A team. This is a key opportunity for a commercially-minded corporate finance professional to influence strategic growth through acquisitions, joint ventures, and disposals in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support M&A origination and strategy development in partnership with senior stakeholders and business units.
  • Manage and execute end-to-end M&A transactions—buy-side, sell-side, and partnerships.
  • Build complex financial models and valuation frameworks from first principles (DCF, comparables, scenario analysis).
  • Lead due diligence, documentation, and presentations to internal stakeholders including the Group Board.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across finance, legal, commercial, and executive teams.
  • Coach and mentor analysts within the M&A team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified or part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • Strong technical understanding of corporate finance and valuation.
  • Track record in M&A or business development (either in-house or advisory).
  • Confident building financial models and delivering detailed, data-driven analysis.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and communicating complex ideas clearly.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and thrives in fast-moving, strategic environments.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
