About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Corby. This full-time role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across various year groups, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO.
  • Support pupils with personal care if required and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Encourage independence and social integration among pupils.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN children (in school or similar setting).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
