Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only Start Date: [Insert Start Date or "ASAP"] About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Corby. This full-time role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across various year groups, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO. Support pupils with personal care if required and ensure their safety and wellbeing. Encourage independence and social integration among pupils. Requirements: Previous experience working with SEN children (in school or similar setting). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
