The Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivational Head of Software Engineering to lead their Development team. You will collaborate closely with the CTO and Product Manager to drive innovation and establish their position as a leading player in the sector.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of commercial development experience, with hands-on expertise in bespoke software development.
  • Experience in:
    • Subscription management systems
    • Building payment systems from the ground up, including tokenization and identity verification
    • Payment orchestration

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in SQL-based databases
  • Familiar with PHP, AWS, JavaScript, LAMP frameworks, and Docker
  • Proven experience in contributing to and executing multi-year development roadmaps
  • Ability to manage teams using Agile methodologies, including tools like JIRA and GitLab
  • Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a commitment to mentoring team members
  • Capability to evaluate systems for procurement decisions and provide clear, jargon-free reports to leadership
  • Attention to detail and a collaborative mindset

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of frameworks such as Vue or React
  • Experience with white-label or multi-territory consumer websites
