Our client, a leading utilities provider, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new connections (ICP/SLP/UIP) and network asset (IDNO/IGT) opportunities within a specific customer channel or territory. You’ll also develop strategic account and contact plans to build and maintain a diverse portfolio of high-value, active clients. To be successful in this role you’ll need at least 3 years’ experience in business development or a similar sales role, proven expertise in the I&C ICP/IDNO sector, and experience in the utilities industry.

Key responsibilities:- Create and execute account plans to build a diverse portfolio of active clients
- Generate and manage a self-discovered opportunity pipeline
- Meet sales targets, including secured sales and pipeline growth
- Gather win/loss and market feedback to drive improvements
- Ensure proposals are optimally priced, timely, and meet each client expectations
- 3+ years’ experience in Business Development or Sales within an ICP or IDNO new connection’s role
- A confident communicator with people across all levels and backgrounds
- Deep understanding of best-in-class sales processes and successful strategies for competing in a crowded marketplace
