Responsibilities:
- Prepare the emergency department for patient care by cleaning, stocking, and setting up necessary equipment.
- Transport patients within the department and to other hospital locations as needed.
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, suturing setup, wound cleansing assistance, sterile technique application, and lab specimen collection (urine and serum).
- Assist in EDMD and Orthopedist procedures by applying splints, molds, and immobilizers, and set up orthopedic clinics.
- Perform lab draws as required.
- Follow instructions from physicians, nurse directors, and ED nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or current enrollment in a nursing program with at least 1 year of clinical rotations, or a minimum of 2 years of current ED Tech experience.
- CPI certification within 6 months of hire.
- Preference for candidates with a Paramedic license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR Certification required.

All staff must be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 as a condition of employment, in accordance with Beth Israel Lahey Health policies.
