About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager to drive reseller activities for Mimecast. As the Business Development Manager, you will manage the Mimecast pipeline and business plan to support and enable the Mimecast business strategy for aligned accounts. This is an external role with a mix of Business Development and Account Management, supporting vendor and reseller activities to create and grow new and existing opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
- Achieve individual targets
- Be the key contact for Mimecast within Exclusive Networks, developing relationships at all levels
- Provide training and enablement for the Exclusive Networks team, ensuring accreditations are maintained
- Manage key accounts alongside Account Managers
- Coordinate partner meetings with sales teams
- Work with marketing teams to recruit, enable, and drive new resellers, develop lead generation programs, and implement training programs
- Update internal systems with vendor information
- Produce sales forecast reports and drive quarterly business plans
- Onboard vendors through training and enablement
- Support vendor activities such as events and focus days
- Articulate vendor messages effectively
- Adopt a research-driven approach to meetings and opportunities
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of proven sales experience in the IT channel, preferably in Cyber Security
- Experience in external sales
- Drive and enthusiasm for developing sales
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, network effectively
- Experience working with KPIs
- Motivation, target-driven, proactive
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Knowledge of the IT channel and distribution challenges
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Analytical skills
- Willingness to visit resellers 2-3 days per week and maintain relationships with account managers in Alton/Mansfield offices
