An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team within the outpatient physiotherapy service at Southend Hospital. You will be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and hold a degree in physiotherapy. You will be required to have experience working as a Band 5 physiotherapist and have completed core rotations, including MSK outpatients.

Main duties of the job:

  • We offer physiotherapy to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic MSK conditions, accepting referrals from GP’s, orthopaedics, Rheumatology and A&E.
  • We are able to offer rotations including general MSK, hydrotherapy, fracture clinic, Rheumatology, Hand Therapy and classes which includes our lower limb rehabilitation class and Escape Pain.
  • This post is ideal for those wanting to expand their MSK practice.
  • You will be expected to maintain a clinical caseload and provide supervision to junior members of staff and students.
  • The Outpatient Physiotherapy team have a strong commitment to ongoing CPD and you will actively participate in clinical teaching and in-service training sessions, whilst delivering a high standard of patient-centred clinical care.

Person specification:

Qualifications:
  • Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Registered with Health Professional Council
  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
Experience:
  • Previous MSK experience as a junior or senior.
  • Working knowledge of broad range of patient conditions.
  • Experience of audit and research.
  • Clinical Educators course.
  • Supervision of junior staff or students.
Skills:
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Evidence of presentation skills.
