  • Supportive and responsive management structure, with strong focus on supervision as a forum for enabling and facilitating reflective practice.

  • Opportunities for transition to permanent contract, and subsequent opportunities to undertake further qualifications such as Practice Assessor, or Best Interests Assessor.

-Competitive hourly rate. -Convenient location. The Queens Road office is in the heart of Southwark. It is well connected to bus routes and the Queens Road train station (which is two stops from London Bridge and Canada Water) is directly opposite the road from the office.

-Varied and challenging cases. The work completed within the team supports the ongoing development and experience of the members within. The role will be initially for 3 months but we anticipate will be extended pending permanent recruitment.

Overview of the Team and role: The Case Management team undertake longer-term (6 weeks or more), complex social work interventions, working with older adults and physically disabled people; including those with concurrent mental health and substance misuse needs. The team’s work includes complex mental capacity work, including Court of Protection applications where indicated; and undertaking Safeguarding enquiries as well as assessments and unscheduled reviews under the Care Act 2014, and multi-disciplinary input to Continuing Health Care processes.

The successful candidate will be integrated into our team’s duty rotation schedule, which is integral to our operational framework. Engaging in the duty rotation not only supports our team’s efficiency but also enhances the individual’s professional growth within our organization. Applicants need to have experience of working with adults with complex needs, and 2 years post qualifying statutory experience.

Experience with various complex caseloads in OPPD

Prior experience using IT Databases e.g. Mosaic/Liquid Logic

Safeguarding investigations experience
