Sector and Location
Across key sectors β Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates β with regional offices and a manufacturing hub in Somerset, forming part of our 60,000 ft head office complex. We deliver diverse projects and programmes across UK infrastructure. Projects range in value from Β£5k to Β£15m, acting as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on schemes, and supporting Tier 1 contractors in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing roles.
Role Purpose
This role involves working as part of a team of electricians on industrial and water industry programmes for SES Water in the South West London and Surrey / surrounding regions.
The Role
Permanent role, contracted to 40 hours per week on site, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime. Travel time is paid door to door on top of contracted and overtime hours.
Responsibilities
- Complete electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
- Ensure all items are installed to the highest standards, in line with the project\βs quality plan and inspection and test plans.
- Follow and promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and be empowered to stop work if unsafe circumstances arise.
- Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
- Promote Bridges\β values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients.
- Promote positive health and wellbeing among peers.
- Act professionally and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting business goals and maintaining the company\βs positive reputation.
Requirements
- ECS gold card (essential)
- Experience within water / construction industry
- Industrial and/or panel wiring experience (desirable)
- Able to manage own and others\β workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers in delivering safe profitable projects
- Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
- Fitness to work medical
- Full UK driving licence
