Comserv are looking for full-time Electricians who are fully qualified to the 18th edition. This role will be to work on a local authority contract to undertake electrical repairs and maintenance activities in the Portsmouth area. Competitive rates paid. Additional benefits include 23 days holiday + Bank holidays, pension scheme, and health care cover. Van, fuel card, uniform, IT equipment and test equipment will be provided.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding but united team carrying out essential repairs and installations to our clients' domestic and commercial properties. We work on a system thinking basis meaning that we expect a job to be completed on the first visit with a separate team delivering any materials required, allowing you to concentrate on the “right work at the right time”. Our team is being invested in constantly with new IT equipment, trade specific external training and our own vigorous in-house training.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Fault-Finding
- Responsive Repairs
- Replacing accessories such as sockets, switches, external lighting etc.
- Small electrical installations
- Inspection and Testing of electrical installations
Qualifications and Skills:
- The ideal candidate must be able to display: 18th Edition or equivalent experience
- Initial and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations, C&G 2391 - EAL 600/4337 or equivalent qualifications
- Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations and BS7671
- Good Communication Skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience of carrying out electrical work within the social housing / domestic sector
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
- Relevant Craft Qualifications link to all Electrotechnical work (C&G 2360, 5357, 6161 etc.)
- BS7671 Qualifications - 18th Edition (preferred)
- Initial and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations
