A leading regional financial planning practice are looking for a Financial Planner to join them to take over a portfolio of Private Clients in Manchester. They have close links with a local accountancy firm although are not in a joint venture with them. Clients can be from £250k to £5m but there is no real upper or lower limit; it is dependent on client need and complexity of work. There is a portfolio of c. £20m to takeover. The Financial Planner will also be responsible for sourcing new clients, be that from existing referrals or business development.

The firm: A leading regional practice with the MD and Senior Adviser looking for a Financial Planner to take over a portfolio of c.£20m.

Role will include:

  • Portfolio reviews with existing clients, working with an existing Financial Planner.
  • Working with the retiring adviser on their client portfolio.
  • Using cash flow modelling and lifestyle financial planning as required.
  • Understanding a client's needs and having proficiency in more complex matters, especially IHT, VCT, EIS and SIPP/SSAS schemes.
  • Maintaining up to date and compliant client files in conjunction with the technical team.
  • Keeping up to date CPD.
  • Actively seeking out new client opportunities as required.
