Our client is a $16bn global multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund with a track record spanning over 20 years. They are looking for an Investment Analyst to join the only Financials Team at the fund.
As a Public Equity Investment Analyst with a specialized focus on financials stocks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the investment strategy and driving performance in this sector. Leveraging your expertise in financials markets and equities, you will contribute to portfolio management decisions and assist in generating alpha for clients.
- In-Depth Research: Conduct rigorous fundamental analysis on publicly traded consumer companies, evaluating financial statements, market trends, and competitive positioning.
- Asset Valuation: Develop comprehensive valuation models to assess the intrinsic value of industrial stocks, utilizing various valuation methodologies, including DCF, comparable analysis, and NAV.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with macroeconomic trends, interest rates, and industry developments that could impact industrial stocks, providing insights to the investment team.
- Idea Generation: Identify compelling investment opportunities within the financials sector, producing well-reasoned and data-driven investment theses.
2-6 years of work experience in equity research, investment banking or at a hedge fund.
- Financials experience is a must.
- Excellent academic credentials, Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably within a finance, economics or mathematics discipline.
- Experience in conducting research and due diligence, and producing “client ready” investment materials.
