KOKO - The story so far… London’s iconic KOKO reopened in Spring 2022 after a three-year restoration and redevelopment. It relaunched as a state-of-the-art live music venue spanning 50,000 square feet, with ambitions to deliver an unrivalled experience for live music fans and with high spec streaming capabilities integrated throughout.
The House of KOKO is a new members’ club spanning four floors backstage at KOKO, which gives access to a stunning new roof terrace and conservatory, dome cocktail bar, penthouse and recording studio, piano room, library, a hidden speakeasy, stage kitchen and secret vinyl rooms.

Job summary: Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and our Operational team, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is key in supporting the successful delivery of dining experiences offered in The House of KOKO. With a true passion for hospitality, food & beverage and team management, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will be contributing to the members experience by leading teams in exceptional service and ensuring a unique guest experience.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of the restaurant services, including guest experience, set up and service.
- Working closely with the Guest Relations team in supporting the Members experience.
- Ensuring all areas are set and ready for service in accordance with expectations and conducting team briefs.
- Build a strong relationship & work alongside the wider operations team, ensure training is engaging and effective.
- Driving quality, consistency, and overall guest service and experience on all levels at all times.
- Supervise Front of House staff to ensure quality services are provided in a challenging and rewarding work environment.
- Maintaining capacity in each floor, to ensure atmosphere is appropriate and licence is protected.
- Determining staffing needs based on sales volume, special events, holidays etc., and the ability of creating a cost efficient, fair rota on a week-by-week basis.
- Managing the team specific to their floor, including supporting recruitment, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing any issues with staff members.
- Obtain feedback on service quality, and meeting members questions with solutions.
- Assist in completing departmental inventory, ordering and financial control points.
- Evaluate, respond, and make recommendations based upon member and guests’ needs to exceed service expectations.
- At all times, adhere to Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations and licensing.
