About us: Concrete4Change (C4C) is an R&D company developing ground-breaking technology to utilize and permanently mineralize CO2 in concrete. The company is partly owned by Siam Cement Group ($17 billion turnover) and Goldbeck GmbH (€7 billion turnover).
As an R&D Civil Engineer, you are a self-starter capable of developing new technology areas leveraging existing capabilities. You will plan, procure, and manage the construction laboratory in line with regulations. You will lead a team of civil engineers to utilize cement and concrete chemistry knowledge for carbon capture and utilization in concrete and evaluate CCU techniques on the properties and long-term performance of cement-based materials.
Person's specifications:
- 5 years post-PhD experience leading independent research, with the ability to design and conduct research addressing fundamental scientific questions
- Experience in laboratory setup, HSE requirements, and equipment specification development and procurement
- Understanding carbonation mechanisms and critical assessment of CO2 uptake and concrete performance over various life stages (product, use, and end-of-life)
- R&D experience in the construction industry
