The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 ÂŁ per year.

We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Leicester. Ideally, you will have a background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, gained from an industrial/manufacturing environment.

You’ll be working as part of a diverse team; due to the size of the business, every day is different with planned and unplanned work. Currently, the team is updating their maintenance management system and driving integration and automation—there are lots of exciting changes you could be part of! While this is initially a 12-month contract, it’s highly likely to extend.

What will you do:

  • Maintain equipment and use a computerized maintenance system
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions on industrial/assembly equipment, machinery, and building systems as required
  • Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules
  • Order replacement parts and manage stocks

What Qualifications and Experience are needed:

  • You will have successfully completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and have demonstrated experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Have a fully flexible approach to the role & responsibilities and be prepared to carry out “out of hours” work as required
  • The ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures
  • Good critical thinking skills to identify root causes of issues
  • Experience using PLC-based systems would be an advantage
