Our Public Sector Client is looking to appoint a Permanent Procurement Project Officer who will support an Institution within the Tayside Region and deliver procurement success. The Procurement Project Officer will work with the Institution and deliver procurement projects across a broad range of categories and spend areas in line with the client's needs. You will support the Tayside Institution to deliver cost reductions, implement strategies to reduce future financial risk, and lead the consolidation of procurement requirements across multiple departments.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills and have a genuine enthusiasm for building positive working relationships. Once this initial project is finished, you will work in a variety of different projects/roles across Institutions throughout Scotland. Project roles would cover a variety of categories and spend areas and a broad range of professional procurement activities in line with the Institutions' needs.
Knowledge and experience required for the role:
- You must have proven experience working in Public Sector Procurement.
- Have procurement experience including the management of end-to-end tender processes, contract drafting and negotiation, and contract management.
- Have solid knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislation.
- Be experienced in tendering within a regulated environment Public Contracts (Scotland) and PRA (Scotland) Act.
- Have a considerable understanding of the key ethical/social & environmental impacts of procurement.
- Experience with project management processes and meeting demanding targets and deadlines.
- Understand the importance of delivering a First-Class procurement service to Stakeholders.
- Enjoy building working relationships with Stakeholders/Customers.
Depending on your location, this role can be remote with the need to be on-site to attend meetings in Dundee (so must be comfortable commuting to Dundee).
