Main Purpose of Job
Drives goods vehicles of groups and classes for which the candidate holds a current licence in a safe, lawful and efficient manner. Makes such deliveries and collections of goods between specified premises as are consistent with the work schedules laid down by the Company. Must be prepared to night out up to 4 nights per week.
Responsibilities
- Driving β Drives goods vehicles in a safe, lawful and efficient manner.
- Checking Vehicle β Carries out daily checks of vehicles and loads of which candidate is in charge of.
- Goods Handling β Takes all possible care to avoid damage to Companyβs or customers premises and property.
- Vehicle Loads β Secures and protects goods on vehicle with due regard to axle and gross weights and ensuring maximum safety and protection during transit.
- Customer Relations β Safeguards, maintains and fosters good customer relations.
- Health and Safety β Carries out all duties with strict adherence to the Health and Safety policy of the Company.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driving licence.
- DQC & Tacho Card.
- Experience Driving Class 1 HGV.
- Good Communication skills written and verbal.
