The Events Planner manages and supports delivery of internal training and firm events working closely with the OW Learning and Development Team. This role joins a global team, reporting into the Events Manager - UK and is responsible for the coordination, production and delivery of these events which align with the function’s strategy for learning and development.
- Plans, develops and manages execution of internal in-person training events and firm events
- Work closely with Event Operations Manager for venue and event vendor sourcing from brief through to contract negotiations
- Coordinate event logistics including agenda, travel, invitation and registration, F&B and relevant event materials in collaboration with wider teams such as L&D, IT, Design and BCD Travel
- Manage event budgets and cost reconciliation
- Manage all aspects of Cvent registration including website creation, registration management, event mailbox and reporting
- Build and manage Event App as required for large training programs
- Manage department led projects shaping guidelines and best practice sharing
Minimum of 3+ years of event planning experience required. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
Highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and able to work effectively and guide senior executives and stakeholders on event recommendations. Prioritizes workload and project deliverables, is accountable for quality work and delivers impactful results. Risk mindful and takes pre-emptive measures to avoid issues. An individual known to exhibit enthusiasm, integrity and willingness to help whenever necessary. Travel as projects require.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience with meeting management software and virtual tools such as Cvent, Zoom, Qualtrics, PollEverywhere.
