Our client is a pioneering biotechnology company dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and improving lives. Their research team is committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, and we are looking for an experienced In Vivo Scientist to join them on this exciting journey.

As an In Vivo Scientist, you will play a crucial role in designing, executing, and analysing preclinical studies that drive our research programs forward. You will leverage your expertise in animal models to generate critical data that informs our drug discovery and development efforts. You will also be responsible for supporting junior team members through training and mentoring.

  • Maintain and comply with Home Office legislation (Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986) for care and welfare of research species
  • Support the culture of care and high standards of animal welfare
  • Ensure meticulous record-keeping, including study data and animal health records
  • Provide high-quality data production and reports to Study Directors, ensuring scientific integrity and quality control
  • Support training on experimental procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in maintaining facility sanitation, husbandry, and cage washing procedures

A degree (PhD, MSc, or BSc) in biology, pharmacology, or a related discipline is required. Hands-on experience in in vivo models, including dosing, surgery, welfare assessment, and ex-vivo tissue collection is essential. We seek individuals with passion, curiosity, and a drive to make a real impact in the field of biotechnology. Experience in maintaining accurate scientific records and working within regulatory frameworks is also important.
