To assist with their growth strategy for 2025, we are supporting a leading freight logistics company with their search for a driven, entrepreneurial Freight Account Manager to join their team in Castle Donington (DE74).

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Freight Account Manager with experience in freight forwarding and account management to manage our clients’ logistics operations from start to finish.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to handle everything from business development to freight movement coordination.
You’ll be directly involved in generating new business, managing existing accounts, and overseeing the end-to-end process of cargo movements by air, sea, and land.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Cold calling, lead generation, and customer appointments to acquire new business.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to maximize account growth.
- Prepare cost estimates, quotes, and competitive pricing structures.
Freight Forwarding & Operations:
Coordinate shipments across land, air, and sea, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight.
- Process bookings from clients via phone/email and ensure all operational aspects are managed.
- Request customs clearance for both import and export shipments via our in-house customs team.
Client & Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, suppliers, and hauliers.
- Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded, delivering a high level of service throughout the shipping process.
- Liaise with relevant parties to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
- 1+ years of sales experience (preferred) within the freight forwarding industry.
- 2+ years of Freight Account Management experience (preferred).
- Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations across air, sea, and land.
- Knowledge of haulier networks and logistics operations is highly advantageous.
Skills and Qualities:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Benefits:
- Basic Salary of up to £50k + uncapped OTE circa £30k+ pa (dep on exp).

- Generous holiday entitlement: 20 days holiday + bank holidays. After 2 years of service, you will receive 2 additional days, with a further day added each year thereafter, up to 30 days maximum.
