Looking for that ideal job in a well-equipped Hospital status practice, with a large, experienced team around you for support, and a leadership team that listens to you as an individual? Right from the first meeting, we will build a rota that ensures you a good work-life balance and allows you to take advantage of living in a National Park area with a coastal location. The emphasis in our practice life is teamwork, and the team is everything, so why not come and meet them to have a chat?

We are looking for two new Small Animal vets to join the gang. One of the positions would suit a candidate with the experience to undertake more advanced surgical/diagnostic procedures and the career drive/desire for a potential future development of their position/career. But if you just want to be part of a skilled and experienced team, in a strong, dynamic practice that provides plenty of support, that is fine too!

The SA team is 19 vets, 21 RVNs, and 3 SVNs strong with several certificate and diploma holders throughout the team, as well as those studying for certificates. The Hospital is well equipped with all the usual ultrasound, radiography, dentistry, endoscopic, surgical (including laparoscopic), and ICU equipment you would expect in a top-tier 1st opinion Hospital; including our own internal laboratory covered by dedicated laboratory technicians.

We also provide an Ophthalmology referral service to practices throughout the South of England and have a weekly visiting Cert AVP (GSAS) for advanced orthopaedics.

What do we want from you? The ideal candidates will bring new ideas and experiences, adding to the energy and positivity of our hard-working team; we want you to contribute to case discussions, clinical meetings, and the provision of a progressive veterinary service to our clients.

We do provide our own OOHs service, but as part of this progressive approach to the way we work, we have developed a hybrid OOHs vet team which covers the greater part of the OOHs night work. So, the contribution that we will expect is not overburdening and is negotiable.

What can we offer you? The very best support, clinical freedom, and equipment you deserve to succeed in your professional career; whilst living in an area of outstanding beauty that offers excellent recreational opportunities particularly equestrian, cycling, sailing, and walking; as well as beautiful beaches, ancient woodlands, and wildlife.

  • Salary of up to £83,000 pa (DOE and OOHs contribution).
  • Staff discount scheme.
  • Generous CPD support, with Certificate study/Advanced Practitioner status being very well supported and recognised.
  • 6 weeks holiday (including Bank Holidays).
  • An extra day's leave each year in your first 5 years.
  • Holiday buying scheme up to 2 weeks per annum.
