We are seeking an expert practitioner to lead the management, development, and efficient operation of the Lymphoedema service. The post holder will develop and provide specialist advice, support, education, and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals based on current evidence and best practice guidelines.

The candidate must have advanced knowledge of the causes and management of chronic oedema, lipoedema, primary and secondary lymphoedema.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a clinical caseload independently
  • Maintaining records via RIO
  • Potentially qualifying as an independent medical prescriber
  • Participation in research activities and collaboration with North Central London (NCL) to ensure equitable patient care

Main Duties:

  • Lead and develop the lymphoedema team providing community services across Enfield
  • Ensure professional and legal accountability for all aspects of practice in line with trust standards and regulatory bodies
  • Support and develop team members and manage complex cases, including pediatric patients, assessing and managing clinical risks
  • Utilize advanced clinical reasoning to assess and implement holistic lymphoedema management plans

Person Specification:

Education & Qualifications:
  • RGN registration
  • Qualification in Lymphoedema Management or willingness to undertake a Master’s program
  • Prescribing Qualification (NMP V300)
Experience & Knowledge:
  • Minimum 5 years relevant clinical experience
  • Experience in teaching and community nursing
  • Knowledge of NMC code of conduct and quality improvement projects
  • Up-to-date specialty knowledge
  • Experience leading nurse/therapist-led clinics/services
  • Understanding of professional guidelines and standards
