Main objectives of job role:
- Managing the Decorations Warehouse
- Preparing and packing of events, tastings set-ups, and onsite Dec support building canape trays and food stalls.
- Assisting Head of Creative where required, supporting all creative aspects of the business.
- Ensuring that everything produced is of the highest standard, and that the facilities we provide are always exceptional, as directed by the line manager.
- Managing all Dec, stock control
- Delivering all Dec and creative designs to the specified designs
- Assisting with the creative design for events and block buster events
- Ensuring all Dec and florals are completed and ready to the agreed time frames and leave times.
Decoration Responsibilities:
- Attending the weekly company operation meeting, learning about the topline of each event, taking notes and managing the information on the Decs pin board, always working in priority order.
- Accurately packing Dec equipment for all events, clearing labelling the kit and always being ready in plenty of time before departure.(There is scope for floral arranging on canape trays, food stall design and at HQ for tastings – training and guidance is on hand and this skill would be developed over time.)
- Communicating with the warehouse to ensure the right kit is packed on the right van.
- Communicating with Head Waiting / Event Manager prior to the event to ensure all important decorative information has been passed on (if you are not attending).
- Attending those events that require assistance with the set-up.
- Unpacking of event kit on its return.
- Delivering and collecting Canapé tasting kit, ensuring all decoration kit has been retrieved from all areas of the business and stored correctly.
- Providing the Head of Creative with a monthly list of consumable products to ensure that there are sufficient stock levels in the Department and keeping an awareness of stock usage.
- Recording all chipped and broken items for replacement.
- Maintaining a high standard professionalism and a can-do attitude at HQ and at Events.
- Driving the van to drop off equipment/flowers or any necessary orders as and when directed by the line manager.
- Running small jobs as directed by the line manager.
Operations Responsibilities:
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and risk-free including emptying all bins at the end of each shift.
- Ensuring that the decorations area is left safe and secure at the end of each shift. (training will be provided)
- Ensuring that the outside bin area is tidy, both exits and entrances.
- Ensuring daily that the staff canteen is cleanly presented, topped up with plates and cutlery and the fruit bowls are filled and displayed.
Team Responsibilities:
- To comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, as per group internal training, and reporting any risks or hazards to line management.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable and allied duty as requested by line management.
