About the Role
This technician role will support the expanding animal health and welfare team, assisting with undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Department. The appointee will focus on companion animal care, supporting teaching and research projects within the Companion Animal House. The team approach to teaching is well established, and the appointee will contribute to various modules based on skills and team needs. The role also involves supporting the Department's research activities.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree or HND in an appropriate animal-related qualification
- Practical experience in companion animal care or management
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and ability to manage others
- Flexibility to work on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays, with longer hours during peak periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake manual tasks related to facility setup and operation
