TT Games is looking for a Lead Level Designer with proven level design experience on console or PC titles, to take on a key role on an exciting new LEGO game based on a major IP.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Alongside the Assistant Design Director, help evangelize the game vision, ensuring it is clearly communicated to your team and carried through into the game’s level design and implementation.
  • Lead a team of level designers to deliver high-quality levels supporting the creative pillars of the game.
  • Ensure your team understands the vision and design of the game, holding regular reviews and providing feedback to meet quality standards.
  • Support feedback from other disciplines, the Design Director, and User Research.
  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines, understanding their roles and building positive relationships to involve them in the design process.
  • Establish level design best practices and improve workflow for your team.
  • Ensure team members follow development practices, maintaining stability and quality throughout development.
  • Work with production to verify task estimations and ensure timely delivery of quality work.
  • Oversee, mentor, and coach designers, actively participating in their career development, including annual appraisals and goal setting.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and respect.
  • Identify key hires and participate actively in recruitment processes.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Significant experience in level design on AAA titles, including at least one leadership role and a shipped title in that role.
  • Broad knowledge of game and level design, including layout, architecture, combat, encounter design, balancing, flow, difficulty, progression, and usability.
  • Ability to describe approaches that create engaging and fun levels.
  • A passion for creating fun and accessible games for children and families.
  • Experience in game development with at least one shipped action or action/adventure title on console or PC.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with UE4/UE5 is an advantage.
