Based in Inverclyde, our shipbuilding client requires a Mechanical Supervisor – Nightshift to join them on a permanent basis. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT * Educated to HNC level in a related subject. * Supervisory experience in an industrial environment. * IT skills- MS Office. * Excellent communication skills. JOB DESCRIPTION Leveraging your Mechanical Engineering experience, to lead and supervise a multiskilled team to ensure that all activities are completed on time and of the quality of output consistent with operational standard and requirement. * Installing main machinery on new build vessels. * Reading and understanding technical drawings. * Set up and aligning shafts thrusters, rudders gear boxes, pumps and commissioning mechanical equipment. * Set work to the team to maximise utilisation of labour and meet delivery schedules. * Providing technical advice to the team and identify process improvements. * Updating all relevant documents including daily progress registers, logbooks, accident book, training, performance and attendance. REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER Salary up to £44,000 + 30% nightshift uplift (£57,000 per annum) + benefits, including competitive pension scheme
