Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with hands-on expertise in Duck Creek and a strong understanding of the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in automating, deploying, and managing Duck Creek solutions in cloud and hybrid environments, while ensuring scalability, security, and high availability of infrastructure and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for Duck Creek Policy, Billing, and Claims applications.
- Automate deployment processes using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Collaborate with Duck Creek developers and QA teams to streamline build and release processes.
- Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or similar tools.
- Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Maintain configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Monitor application performance, uptime, and logs using tools like Splunk, ELK Stack, or Prometheus/Grafana.
- Work with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP a plus) to ensure scalable and secure environments.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and regulatory requirements (especially for insurance clients).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response activities when required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Duck Creek, particularly with deployment and environment management.
- Solid understanding of insurance business processes and workflows (Policy, Claims, Billing).
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Proficiency in source control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services (App Services, AKS, ADO, Key Vault, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Strong grasp of infrastructure as code and configuration management.
- Knowledge of application monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Duck Creek OnDemand (OD) platform experience.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerized Duck Creek modules.
- Insurance certifications (e.g., AINS, CPCU) are a plus.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum/SAFe).
