Role Overview

Are you a Business Development Leader with experience working for a Biopharmaceutical CDMO? This might be the opportunity you've been looking for. HRS is representing a global leader in the Biopharmaceutical sector in their search for an Associate Director, Business Development. The role reports to the Site VP and is predominantly remote, based at the Kent HQ with global travel up to 60%. You will lead business development initiatives to establish new biologics contract manufacturing partnerships worldwide and contribute to the business/site leadership team to drive commercial strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Biopharmaceutical CDMO growth plan to meet sales targets.
  • Build and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline through strategic business development and marketing activities.
  • Oversee and expand the Business Development team, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives.
  • Engage with prospective customers and partners, enhancing brand recognition and fostering relationships.
  • Manage the Business Development Manager and contribute to the growth of the team.

Role Requirements

  • Relevant degree in a Scientific or Business discipline.
  • Extensive commercial experience in a BioPharma CMO/CDMO environment with industry knowledge.
  • Proven success in securing contract manufacturing business and executing projects.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and contract management experience.
