Tiptree Medical Centre is currently looking for a referral administrator, on a part time basis for 16 hours per week, to join our friendly and hard-working administration team.
Main responsibilities include:

Carry out the processes for eReferral, ensuring referrals are sent to the correct services as quickly as possible.

Chase up any referrals that have not been processed within the expected timescale.

Chase any patients who have not actioned their referrals or collected their paperwork.

Complete any tasks sent by the clinical staff relating to letters and referrals or clinic attendance.

Provide cover for members of the referral team during periods of sickness and annual leave.

Receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.

Assist in any in-house data analysis of referral processed.

Be aware of referral pathways and assist the clinicians in ensuring referrals are made to the most cost-effective service.

Action all subject access requests received by the practice.

Close monitoring and actioning of the practice email account.
You will have previous secretarial/administration experience and good IT/keyboard skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology, experience in primary care and knowledge of SystmOne would all be an advantage but full training can be provided to the right candidate.
