Shift Pattern: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 days off (6-cycle shift followed by 12 days off)

Overview: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Manager to join a high-performing industrial operations team based in Hampshire. In this role, you will lead plant operations on a rotating shift basis, ensuring compliance, safety, and performance standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily plant operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of plant systems and equipment
  • Work closely with the remote operations centre to optimise production output
  • Issue and control Permits to Work and monitor contractor activity for compliance
  • Review production and shift reports to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Conduct routine inspections of plant assets and raise maintenance work orders
  • Respond to emergency situations and abnormal operating conditions
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence across the shift team

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering
  • Prior experience in a continuous process or industrial manufacturing environment
  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental practices
  • Effective communicator and confident decision-maker under pressure
  • Proactive, organised, and a strong planner
  • Experience in petrochemical, refining, or a related industrial sector is highly desirable
