Working with over 180,000 patients across numerous different therapy areas, our dedicated team offer support to patients with rare and orphan diseases right through to more common conditions. We’re looking for a Bot Integration & Support Engineer to manage, enhance, and integrate bots across our apps. This role involves monitoring bot performance, troubleshooting issues, optimizing workflows, and integrating the bot with other healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will ensure a smooth, efficient, and secure bot experience for both patients and support teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize the existing Microsoft Health Bot to improve user engagement and efficiency.
  • Monitor bot performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to ensure uptime and functionality.
  • Enhance and refine bot workflows, conversation logic, and AI-driven interactions.
  • Integrate the bot with other platforms, including the patient mobile app, contact management center, EHR/EMR systems, and third-party APIs.
  • Ensure compliance and best practices for data security and patient confidentiality.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and healthcare teams to align bot functionalities with user needs.
  • Analyze bot usage data and logs to identify trends, user pain points, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and update bot-related technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge bases.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on bot functionalities and troubleshooting best practices.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft Azure teams to leverage new features and updates for the Microsoft Health Bot.
What experience and skills are we looking for?
  • Experience in bot development, system integration, and healthcare technologies.
  • Experience working in healthcare technology or telehealth platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Health Bot, Azure Bot Framework, or similar chatbot platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of API integrations, webhooks, and data exchange protocols.
  • Experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Bot Service, and Azure Functions).
  • Understanding of NLP, AI-based conversation design, and chatbot analytics.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Virtual Agents and Power Automate.
  • Azure or Microsoft Health Bot-related certifications.
  • Experience with patient engagement tools or contact center software.
  • 2+ years of experience in chatbot integration, AI-driven customer support, or bot operations.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
