We manufacture an innovative, market leading flexible pipe solutions for the Oil and Gas market for onshore facilities.
During the Baker Hughes FPS Apprenticeship 4-year program, the successful candidate will attend college to achieve a level 3 engineering apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering. The first year will be 1 full academic year based at College. The second and third years will be based at Baker Hughes Walker Riverside full time, with 1 day/week day release at College.
As a Product Development and Testing Apprentice, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the test team in activities including testing and qualification of new materials/products, supporting the test facility for all technical associated tasks.
- Supporting mechanical assembly and disassembly.
- Supporting electrical fault finding.
- Supporting control systems operating.
- Giving innovative ideas and capture.
- Participating in problem solving.
- Carrying out mechanical assembly.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be in possession of GCSE Mathβs, Science, English grade 4 or above.
- Currently studying/training for additional engineering or academic qualifications.
- Have a genuine enthusiasm for Engineering.
- Have great communication skills and the confidence to ask questions.
- Be able to share learning knowledge and experiences with colleagues and other apprentices.
- Have pride in doing your best, even in testing conditions.
- Have a real desire to learn and improve your knowledge and skills.
