We are working with a leading Retail business who has a strong UK presence, recognised for their household brands and consistent delivery of quality products. As the business continues to scale, they’re seeking a qualified Finance Manager to strengthen their financial reporting and controls function. This role is central to the integrity of the financial reporting and statutory compliance.

The Finance Manager will ensure accurate reporting, strong financial governance, and timely delivery of key accounting outputs, supporting both UK and group-level requirements.

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including commentary and reconciliations.
  • Oversee statutory accounts preparation and support external audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Maintain and improve financial controls, balance sheet integrity, and risk management procedures.
  • Manage tax reporting (VAT, corporation tax support) in coordination with external advisors.
  • Support group reporting submissions, intercompany reconciliations, and consolidation processes.
  • Implement process improvements and support finance system enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified, ideally with Big 4 or Top 10 training.
  • ~3+ years PQE, must have experience within consumer brands.

  • Experience preparing statutory accounts and managing audits.
  • High attention to detail with strong Excel and systems knowledge (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
