Why this job matters

The purpose of this role is to be accountable for the introduction of major end to end platform or solution from an engineering and test perspective. Leads the team and supports them during complex or major incidents assisting with fault resolution across multiple platforms and services. Responsible for leading a team, the resource strategy, continuous development, recruitment and engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinates a diverse team and creates the environment to deliver all aspects of integration and problem management to time, budget and quality targets.
  • Manages teams in the delivery of daily activities and is accountable for system design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of all network infrastructure components.
  • Monitors day to day activities to ensure all objectives are achieved, reviewing reports and statistics to unblock any issues.
  • Provides expertise within their area and shares knowledge with team to encourage self development and knowledge sharing.
  • Interacts with customers and senior internal stakeholders including project and programme managers to gather insight and feedback to inform integration and requirements and approach.
  • Manages projects involving interdisciplinary teams, adhering to policy, regulatory requirements, and standards of best practice.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and ensures their conformance with information systems goals.

What You’ll Bring

  • Leadership experience, managing a team in a large organisation.
  • Experience in a 24x7 real time, operational environment and of managing crisis / large operational incidents.
  • You have had experience of working with vendors and other highly skilled technical teams.
  • Developing and Transforming Operational Process.
  • You’ve made decisions in ambiguous situations using incomplete information or differing opinions.
  • You’ve aligned project plans and objectives with our strategy and values.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be agile.
