Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN/HLTA's/tutors/teachers.
We are currently recruiting for KS2-KS4 Tutor to provide provision to a Student based in Suffolk.
- Location: Suffolk
- Position: 1:1 Tutor
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Ongoing - Until the end of the academic year, with potential of being extended.
- Contract type: Temporary
- Hours: Up to 3 hours per day - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
- Rate of pay: £25/£35 per hour
- Term Time Only
- During School Hours Only
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Available during school hours up to 15hrs contracts per week
- Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects
- Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
- Exceptional behaviour management strategies
- Prepared to work face to face within the community
This will be continuous and until the student is placed within a suitable school.
Requirements:
- Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS2-KS5.
- QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years experience teaching NC core subjects
- Two years of teaching in a UK school to SEN pupils
- Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH
