The Sports Core domain is the beating heart of our sports offering ecosystem, delivering real-time, high-volume sports data that powers our odds, events, and market experiences. • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to align business priorities with system capabilities.
  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into clear architectural documents.
  • Mentor engineers, support technical design reviews, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Evaluate emerging tools, platforms, and paradigms; drive proof-of-concepts to inform future strategy.
  • Shape the technical direction of the domain in order to solve challenges pertaining to a multi-tenant, global environment with real-time data requirements.

What You Will Bring:

  • Technology leadership experience with a demonstrated problem-solving ability to design, build, and operate scalable systems through others.
  • Deep knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization and orchestration paradigms, messaging, and streaming systems—familiarity with .NET, Kafka, and Kubernetes technologies is a plus.
  • Strong background in system observability, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Understanding of infrastructure and CI/CD tooling in a DevOps culture.
  • A culture of testing automation at multiple levels - from Unit tests to domain-wide end-to-end.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize performance related bottlenecks.
  • Ability to set and drive the “big picture” strategy while also providing detailed technical guidance to the team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (high proficiency in the English language) for explanation and presentation of architectural decisions.

We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston.
