This position fulfils a unique role which focuses on supporting Group’s deal process from start to finish and involves but is not limited to: deal planning and structuring, due diligence, deal closing and integration. The Director of FP&A will also support various strategic initiatives through financial modelling and long-term business planning.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Develop financial models and strategic assessments to address key business issues, including evaluation of new business models, business and operational planning, ROI analyses of WMG’s investments in new businesses and technologies.
  • Support global M&A process through partnership with key stakeholders and support of team, from initial target assessment, in-depth financial modelling and market analysis, due diligence, regular executive committee updates to close and integration; conduct pre- and post-transaction M&A deal analyses and valuations.
  • Support financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets, including liaison with external advisors as well as internal analysis of target’s financial statements; coordinate and assist in other diligence workstreams.
  • Support share purchase agreement negotiations and liaise with both financial and legal advisors on key financial inputs.
  • Manage approval process for executive approval-level deals, including preparation and submission of transaction summaries.
  • Conduct Recorded Music and Music Publishing artist deal analysis.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc tasks as requested by CEO/CFO, board presentations, valuations, etc.

About you:

  • Strong understanding of finance and DCF concepts/principles in conjunction with excellent verbal, analytical, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of share/asset purchase agreement negotiation principles.
  • Sophisticated financial modelling skills; ability to create new models as well as ‘refresh’ existing financial models.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to deliver value added analyses and effectively communicate results to senior management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently as well as to work as part of a team; handle multiple tasks simultaneously, while working with a sense of urgency to meet assigned deadlines.
  • BA in Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred.
  • 9-12 years of finance-related experience (preferably from M&A, management consultancy or FP&A background).
