Madison Berkeley is currently partnered with a leading investment manager and operating partner with a £2bn portfolio of premium Central London offices, retail, and residential assets. This firm has an outstanding track record across Investment, Development, and Asset Management, and is behind some of the most prestigious buildings in the capital.

You will work across investment, development and asset management. Responsibilities include:

  • Building bespoke financial models to support investment appraisals, underwriting, and development feasibility analyses.
  • Performing in-depth analysis to support both development and asset management initiatives, including cash flow forecasting, budget tracking, and scenario planning.
  • Preparing quarterly financial reports and ad-hoc analyses to evaluate the financial performance of existing assets.
  • Producing high-quality investment memorandums and presentations following initial appraisal and due diligence, to communicate investment opportunities to investors and lenders.
  • Assisting with the structuring of transactions and tax reviews in collaboration with external accountants and legal advisors.
  • Coordinating closely with investors, lenders, and internal Asset and Development Managers throughout the life cycle of each investment.
  • Conducting site visits and liaising with external consultants and advisors to ensure financial models reflect real-world assumptions.
  • Supporting the due diligence process for acquisitions and managing key elements of the sales and exit processes.

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in real estate investment, development, private equity, or a related financial role.
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel, including DCF, IRR, sensitivity analysis, and development appraisals.
  • Solid understanding of asset management principles and development processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality presentations and reports.
  • Experience coordinating with external stakeholders including legal, tax, and technical advisors.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to assess and articulate investment risk and opportunity.
