Purpose of the Role The role will involve carrying out composite structural engineering on a wide range of projects using analytical and design skills, in collaboration with a project team. You will plan and manage engineering projects as well as working with customers and end users to ensure deliverables meet customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Conceptual structural design, detailed design and analysis for composite engineering projects under the supervision of a more experienced engineer. Planning, project management and client liaison on engineering projects under the supervision of a more experienced engineer. Assist in the development of innovative and efficient engineering solutions and working methods. Develop own technical capability and broaden engineering knowledge across different markets. Develop project, commercial and personnel management skills. Skills & Experience Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, with emphasis on Structural Analysis and Design and Material Science. Professional Experience of 2/3 years in either a design office or a composite manufacturing firm ideally. Knowledge and experience of working with structural composite materials and building methods. Knowledge of 3-D CAD Packages (such as Rhino3D, SolidWorks or Siemens NX) and Finite Element Analysis advantageous. Fluent in English, both speaking and writing skills – essential.
