Main Responsibilities
- Serve the Customer: Ensure consistent and world class Customer experiences through proper implementation of our GUEST program in all stores and with all team members. Know our Customer – know what’s important to them, what they are ‘into’ now, and how can we best meet their desire to stay trendy and hip. Keep apprised of fashion trends.
- Drive Sales: Achieve store sales plans and use performance targets (e.g. Conversion, Transactions, Average Dollar Sale (ADS), Units per Transaction (UPTs), Sales per Labor Hour (SPLH), % Penetration (% Accessories, % Jewellery, % EP) to maximize business results. Analyse reports to identify ways to maximize individual store performance; develop action plans to achieve targets.
- Demonstrate Leadership: Be a role model, supporting all Company direction and initiatives. Set clear and consistent expectations to ensure a standardized thought process and approach. Motivate others to succeed – cultivate a ‘winning’ culture. Leverage fun and competitive contests to encourage the winning spirit. Empower store teams to win through training and coaching and development. Organize, set priorities, meet deadlines, follow-up, motivate and hold the store teams accountable for performance.
- Develop People: Effectively build and coach a winning team, using encouragement, feedback and recognition. Hire, train, develop and retain qualified store teams; utilize all communications and interactions as coachable moments and for on-the-job training. Maximize performance through effective utilization of the Company’s performance management processes. Communicate goals and expectations to store teams. Provide relevant feedback in a manner that fosters mutual trust and personal development.
- Manage the Business: Using key business reports, evaluate weekly store performance to ensure goals are successfully achieved, make adjustments and maximize opportunities. Manage employee schedules, to include setting hours and timesheets. Ensure proper training and stores’ utilization of all Loss Prevention tools and compliance to all programs to minimize loss and achieve shrink targets.
