We're partnered with a business who are looking to add a Data Centre Shift Technician to their team in the Slough Area. You must currently have worked within a Data Centre or Critical environment to be considered for this role.
Role responsibilities:
- Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) isolations and switching operations in compliance with site safety procedures.
- Operate and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, standby generators, HV/LV infrastructure, and precision cooling systems.
- Monitor and control Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA systems to ensure stable and efficient plant operations.
- Carry out daily plant checks, scheduled inspections, and comprehensive fault diagnostics.
- Support the creation and execution of switching schedules, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with shift teams to respond to system alarms, equipment failures, and operational escalations.
- Maintain accurate records, including operational logs, work permits, and statutory documentation.
Requirements for the position:
- HVAP authorised (Desirable).
- Experienced in working in a Data Centre environment or a critical site.
