As an Major Account Sales Manager, will be responsible for leading and developing major customer accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the UK/Global market. This role requires a deep understanding of the energy sector, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities. Key to success will be building and implementing a long term account plan co-developed with the customer., * Account Management: Build a comprehensive account plan with the TNO, own the execution of the account plan within our organisation modifying as needed based on a regular cadence of review with key partners. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the key customer account, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

  • Be an ambassador for Siemens Energy to all external and internal customers and partners

  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets across all parts of the portfolio within the Grid Technologies business.

  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, the coordination focal point, addressing and rerouting inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Build customer relationships, taking accountability and responsibility for developing a successful long-term relationship with our customers by fully understanding their organisational, commercial and operational needs. Aligning our account plan with the business objectives of the TNO. Organise and chair appropriate meetings with the customer, ensuring a high level of customer service is achieved

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research within the TNO and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth. Provide insights and recommendations to the management team and the respective Grid Technology businesses.

  • Proposal Development: Ensure the preparation and presentation of compelling proposals, quotations, and contracts to customers, ensuring alignment with their needs and company objectives, working closely with the respective tendering functions in the business.

  • Collaboration and Engagement: Develop metrics on collaboration and partnership progress and Supervise the level of customer satisfaction through regular internal and external reviews. Ensure where necessary, corrective action is taken, root causes are resolved and eliminated where possible.

  • Governance and Integrity: Operate within the bounds of the company’s governance and compliance system, meeting the expectations on integrity that Siemens Energy set.

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management using CRM tools. Provide regular reports and updates to the management team. Communicate the progress/plan that meets the customers’ requirements, resolving issues or escalating problems within agreed timescales

  • Significant experience in large account management, sales, or business development within the energy sector, preferably in grid technologies or power transmission and distribution.

  • Ability to build relationships from C suite down through a large organisation

  • Strong understanding of the energy market and grid technologies.

  • Strong understanding of the GB&I electricity Transmission and Utility market

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Consistent record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

  • Willingness to travel within the UK as required and occasionally abroad.
