The Senior Sustainability Analyst will be pivotal in supporting iQ’s sustainability strategy, reporting, and data management. Working closely with the Sustainability Manager, you will help deliver our ESG reporting roadmap, drive decarbonisation initiatives, and ensure robust data quality and assurance across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sustainability at iQ and develop expertise in a fast-evolving field. Key Responsibilities: ESG Data Management and Reporting Collect, analyse, and maintain high-quality data on energy use, emissions (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), water, waste, and other sustainability metrics using an industry-best-in-class sustainability data management platform. Support the monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external ESG reporting cycles, including preparing data for the ESG reports in line with IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, and UK SRS standards. Assist in preparing data and documentation for external assurance and audits of sustainability reports. Decarbonisation and Project Support Support the delivery and tracking of decarbonisation business cases, including site audits, intervention tracking, and CAPEX data collation. Monitor progress of energy efficiency projects (e.g., LED upgrades, solar PV, ASHP installations) and maintain accurate project data. Climate Risk and Scenario Analysis Assist Sustainability Manager in collecting and analysing data for climate risk assessments, scenario modelling, and iQ’s climate transition plan development. Research and summarise climate-related risks and opportunities for the business. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Liaise with internal teams (Finance, Asset Management, Estates, Operations) to ensure data completeness and accuracy. Support the development of data-driven sustainability communications, including ESG brochures and internal updates. Provide analytical support for resident and stakeholder engagement initiatives and feedback processes. Continuous Improvement Contribute ideas for improving sustainability data systems, reporting processes, and project delivery. Keep up to date with evolving sustainability standards, best practices, and sector trends. Support the Sustainability Manager with the delivery of the broader sustainability strategy and other projects Skills and Experience: Degree or equivalent experience in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, data analytics, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets; proficiency with Excel and data management platforms (experience with Deepki or similar is an advantage). Understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, GHG Protocol, CRREM). Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-specialist audiences, both in writing and verbally. Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to data quality and assurance. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities to meet reporting deadlines. Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across teams. Desirable Experience in the real estate or student accommodation sector. Knowledge of decarbonisation technologies and climate risk assessment. Familiarity with external assurance processes for sustainability data. We operate a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home / site location.
