Refridgerator Engineer

Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer Location: Darlington Salary: 43K The Role As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance, installation, and fault-finding of a wide range of refrigeration systems at client sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safety and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance Complete job documentation and reports accurately Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Liaise with clients and deliver a high standard of customer service Participate in an on-call rota (if required)Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration Strong understanding of systems including chillers, cold rooms, freezers, and CO₂ systems (preferred) F-Gas Certification (Category 1 – essential) NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent) Full UK driving licence Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team RG Setsquare is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy…
