Our Future Health will be the UK's largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. Our goal is to create a world-leading resource for health research, to improve our understanding and spot the patterns of how and why common diseases start, so treatments can begin sooner and be more effective.
Embedded in a cross-functional team, you will help to discover, define, develop and deliver the Recontact programme - an initiative that allows health researchers to invite Our Future Health volunteers to take part in follow-on studies. This means identifying and designing content that supports our user journeys, so that people from all backgrounds can experience seamless interactions with Our Future Health.
This is a 12 month FTC. Our Content Designers can work remotely from anywhere within the UK and our London office is available to use for those who wish.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing new content for our digital products or services
- Identifying the language we should use to communicate nuanced and potentially delicate health topics
- Prototyping and testing content, working closely with designers and behavioural scientists
- Using data and research as evidence to inform your content design
- Ensuring all content is accessible, usable, and aligned to our brand messaging
- Helping to iterate our style guides and content standards, so that consistency is maintained across platforms and materials
- Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to clearly and correctly represent complex requirements and processes
We need someone who can champion content design best principles. You’ll be a supreme writer, crafting clean and compelling content, working on everything from website micro-copy and webforms to infographics and articles.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Content Designer and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Excellent understanding of content design, including usability and accessibility
- Evidence of championing content design to a wide-ranging group of stakeholders
- Experience working in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary team, designing and developing content to achieve measurable outcomes
- Experience of creating technical documentation and/or scientifically complex content, in lockstep with subject matter experts
- Habitually uses data and research to inform content development
- Able to clearly communicate content design decisions, take on-board feedback, and work in an open and collaborative way
- Experience of working in the healthcare sector and/or a non-profit environment is desirable but not a necessity
